Goal Achievement

What Is Goal Achievement?

Really this can be anything that you are currently worried about doing, or seeking to improve your performance with. From giving a good job interview to presentation nerves, to learning a new skill to performing onstage for the first time, we all want to achieve something in life. Sometimes we can do it on our own, but sometimes we need a little help to approach something as the best version of ourselves.

How Do I Treat It?

Hypnosis, or trance, is a very common mental state in which the subconscious and the conscious mind communicate. Simply put, whenever we use our imagination, we are briefly entering trance. It is in these moments that we can help the subconscious unlearn its less helpful responses, and pick up new, more beneficial ones.

Often, if we are struggling more than is rational, it is down to previous experiences that have dissuaded, or even traumatised us. Using techniques developed through neuroscience like the Rewind or Somatic anchors, we can neutralise any negative associations with the goal you wish to achieve, so you can approach it free of all emotional baggage. However, every person is different, and this may not apply to you.

It has been proved in numerous studies that mental rehearsal has great influence on performance. By incorporating modern coaching methods and turning our minds to predicting the best case outcome, we can in fact pack days, even months of practice into just a few hour-long sessions, allowing ourselves to undertake any task to the absolute best of our ability. I also teach a number of self-calming and motivating techniques that you can practice on your own before taking on whatever challenge you’re facing, allowing you to keep a strong sense of independence and ownership of your success.

Depending on the clients past experiences, this is generally done within 15 sessions at the most, although sometimes significantly fewer are required.

Side effects of treatment include:

  • More energy
  • Better capacity to make rational decisions
  • Ability to stand up for yourself in an appropriate manner
  • Feeling unencumbered, or ’lighter’
  • Greater resilience in difficult situations
  • Higher motivation towards your own personal goals
