The Mind Reboot

The Mind Reboot - Hypnotherapy in Edinburgh

Developed and pioneered by Integrated Changeworks, The Mind Reboot is a powerful course, usually lasting around 7-10 sessions, that helps people resolve any emotional baggage that is holding them back.

Perfect for people suffering from depression, anxiety, or just feeling ‘stuck’ in their lives. This treatment takes a methodical, holistic approach where the client does not need to disclose any details on any past experiences that may have occurred.

The Mind Reboot takes the following four steps

Resolving trauma

We have all experienced trauma in our lives to a greater or lesser extent. Traumatic memory is often at the cause of most psychological problems and, even when it’s not, it can get in the way of healing. Using powerful techniques like Rewind, Somatic Anchors, EFT, and others can allow us to release the unresolved emotions from traumatic memory both safely and permanently.

Reprogramming ‘stuck’ states

Reactions like anxiety, depression and anger are often present with good intentions. They are outdated emergency reactions that would have kept our cave-dwelling ancestors safe, but are no longer appropriate in modern society. Once we teach the subconscious new and better ways of reacting to perceived threats, we become free to act with calm and logic again.

Defusing Emotional Triggers

We learn how to form emotions when we are very young, and this can be heavily influenced by our environment. Stressful moments in childhood may lead us to experience anger or sadness in a more extreme fashion than necessary. Re-learning these reactions allow our responses to become more measured; allowing us to keep a cooler head when life gets difficult.

Unlearning Negative Beliefs

Sometimes humans create meaning from neutral information. A scientist attempting a difficult experiment may fail several times in a row, become disheartened and decide ‘I am a failure’. That belief will then follow them to the next experiment, making the work harder, and re-enforcing that belief if failure occurs again. When we address the cause of these beliefs, we can re-write them, allowing us to get a clearer picture of our lives, boosting our self-esteem, and putting us in touch with the intellectual resources we had all along.
